FAQ
What's the difference between the ride and the rally? - The ride is like the past two Kactus Kilo events. There will be four locations that you will visit. At each one you will take a photo to prove you were there. We provide the route, the witnesses, and even certificate for your entry into the Iron Butt Association. Current IBA members are welcome.
For the rally you must already be part of the IBA. You will receive a list of locations, each with a different point value. It's up to you to determine the route you want to follow and how many points you want to score. You will receive your certificate by mail.
What's the Tour of Honor and do I have to be a member there? - The Tour of Honor is an annual season long event. Participants visit memorials to military, fire, and police personnel around the country. We use current season TOH sites as the locations for the Kactus Kilo ride. These location will also be available to those participating in the rally. Riders who are in the TOH will receive TOH credit for their visits to these memorials. But, you do not need to be a TOH participant to ride in our events. Go to tourofhonor.com to learn more or register with them.
